In this vlog, our Executive Function Coach Suzanne lays out her best binder tip for middle schoolers.
Transitioning from fifth to sixth grade is an exciting yet intimidating time for students and their parents. And developing strong organizational skills is vital. Students should have a single two pocket homework folder that accompanies them to every class, home, and back to school each day. On one side of the folder, write “to do” and on the other side, “done”. Students should place homework sheets from each class in the “to do” side of the folder and move to the “done side” when completed. This simple process reduces lost homework, wasted time, and stress.
